Ok, I have around $1,000 plus a little more for shipping costs and if I absolutley need to go over, but I'd say my budget is right around 1,000. I have spent awhile compiling a list of parts that fit my needs. I also had a little help from Maximum PC magazine when they did a story on this back in April, although their budget was $1,500. Anyway, here goes, let me know what you all think. I'm excited about this for some reason.
Motherboard:

This seems a little stripo, if there is a better one for around the same price let me know, I haven't been looking around for the motherboard as often as other parts.

Power Supply:

Will this suffice for my needs of the build? I'm not really good at judging power supplies.

Maximum PC went with XP Pro. is there a REAL difference between the two?

RAM:

Is this compatible with my board? I'm pretty sure it is, just want a second opinion.

They're both pretty cheap. I like the side window of the first one, but theres something about the second one that keeps me undecided.

I still would need a monitor which would put me at about 1,200ish. I found http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824009094 but I think that might be too expensive. Any ideas on a monitor?
I want to get the most bang for my buck here, I know I'm not going to be turning out any steller bench marks but my plan is to get a sort of entry level/mid-range system in the works and upgrade it as time goes on (mainly for Starcraft II). So let me know what you guys think, give me as much criticism as you all deem worthy
Thanks for your help
