Budget Case

Hey guys,
today i picked up a case and mobo (Asus A8N-E).

I have a few questions for the case. Any help appreciated.

a) There is a 120mm fan at the front of the case under my power/reset buttons. What does this do (exhaust or inhale?). At the front of the case (where the fan is) there are about 10 holes. IS that enough for sufficient air.

b) at the moment the reset button does not push in at all. although the power one does. Should I be worried? (not connected to anything)

c) I swapped the case plate for the 'faceplate' that came with the motherboard. The motherboard wont fit into the ATX mounts (gold little things) is this because of the small peices of metal coming of each part (usb area, etc.) of the faceplate. should I remove these?

Thanks, Any help appreciated

John

*Sorry for no pics my camera is busted

Fan in front is a intake, the little silver prongs should slide right above and beside the board connectors when the board is pushed slighty to the face plate, then your mounting screws should line up, make sure you have a stud for each motherboard hole and none where there isnt a hole, you dont want a short!! As for the reset botton, dont really know, I mean you dont have to have it, but its a new case!

Thanks for that.

Also, on the right hand side of the case (inside)there is a big black funnely type thing is this another intake?

This is a tough situation, the case seems to be poorly made (motherboard still does not completely match up) but has great features and looks awesome, ohh and its cheap.

The funnel should line up with your Processor fan for cool air intake, somtimes you have to move the studs to match the motherbord holes, just make sure theres not a stud where there is no hole!! Spark BOOM

Case

Tis is my case (mine is white). The funnel will match up with my cpu but there is no fan on it.

Also the mountings are only a few millimetres out. If I remove the panel on the back of the case i can insert it correctly- is the panel important?
