Budget gaming build

Hi, I have some questions. I have a monitor, mouse, keyboard and speakers. Would what I listed here be everything I would need to have a gaming computer that works? Like am I missing any parts? Would I be able to play new games that look really good on my 1366/1000 resolution monitor? (lol >_<)

yup thats all the components you will need to complete a system. what games do you plan on playin in it?

Honestly, I think you'd be better off going for an Athlon II 635. It's the same price, but is a quad core. The Phenom 555 will probably perform better in most games right now, but later on, the Athlon is going to take the lead for sure.

Ok I'll look into the Athlon II 635, and I was planning to play games like StarCraft 2 and some fps games hopefully at good resolution.

Same mobo, better processor. Quad core phenom vs dual core, and unlike the quad core athlon II's you get the L3 cache.

Sweet, I think I may get it, will this rig be able to play new games at HD?

It should play games to the extent of your monitor Res. - "1366/1000"
Full HD games (1920 x 1080) need a full HD monitor. Otherwise feel free to play StarCraft with High settings, your system can take it

So the computer build I listed above could also do 1920 x 1080?

Yes, if you had a 1920x1080p monitor, which you don't. Your system could do it, but you've got nothing to display [it] (the HD) on
