Budget Gaming computer help...

Does anyone know of a good build for a budget 500-600 gaming computer?
The games I want to run are mostly from 2003-2006
Any suggestions?

a little over but really good

I will personally suggest Update AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800+ (65W)
And using a cheaper case. But use a better DVDRW

Then you could use a NVIDIA Geforce 7900GS card.
And you could consider this M/B as well.

does anyone else have any good suggestions?
The way some of the MOBO cons kinda scared me.
Especially the one of the above poster.
Also the sound card price can be subtracted, beacuse sound has never beeen a big deal, so I can live with a motherboard's onboard sound.

I don't care for AMD but, I do like to learn and try new things, also. As for right now, the Core 2 Duo is making AMD look like a case ornament. I think it would be cool to take fried out AMD CPU's and make Christmas tree ornaments, LMAO.

Comes out to be around $672 after MIR's but a hell of a system for the price.

Nice build, except you need a DVD burner instead of DVD combo drive
