hi i am new to this forum and relatively new to building custom computers. now i am trying to build a gaming pc for wow and call of duty like games for less than 600 dollars.

The 955 is not really necessary. BE processors have an unlocked multiplier, thus you can get an easier overclock. I would suggest getting a slower BE and just overclock to your desired level. Currently newegg has the 925BE that is $15 cheaper than the 955, but it is out of stock.

Are you definitely set on Nvida or are you willing to go to ATI/AMD? Im sure that you will get more bang for your buck with AMD/ATI. (newegg has a AMD HD6850 for 179. HD5770 is 129, which is cheaper than the GTX460.)
 
thanks for the comments as for a budget i would like the whole computer to be less than 600 but i have gone over that that psu is 75 dollars and if i can save money great if i cant than o well. and im not set on any brands im pretty new to this and dont really know brands those were all suggestions from other computer people. so hit me up with every thing i need to know i can take it all in hahah.
 
If I were you, Id go for a HD6850. It will out perform that GTX460 by miles.

As for the PSU, i have no clue. Dont skimp on it though, as the PSU is the most important part of your build.

Have a look at this. $700...over by $100 (after $50 rebates).
It includes Windows 7 which isn't on your list and is $95 atm. Maybe you don't need it. If you already have os, then you might find a bigger gpu w/ the $40 left over.
It is x8/x8 CF setup w/8+2 power phase mb and reputable 650w ps. So if you want to add a second 6850 later on, you can just plop it in there.

is there somthing special about that case or did you pick just because of the combo deal and what about a disk drive do i need anything special

I picked the case for all it's nice features @ that price. If you don't care for it's looks, there are others. Don't need anything special for the hard disk, just a good one. The 7200.12 listed is good. Westen Digital Black and Samsung F3-F4 are also very good for system drive, but for a bit more $.

After my post, I saw in your other post that you already have Windows 7.
edit: The Challenger comes with enough fans, good cable management, nice drive rail design-even a 2.5" for SSD, bottom mount for ps, tool free for the most part. I think you just need a phillips for the ps/mb/reaer slots, thats about it.

Oh by disc drive you meant the optical-cd/dvd burner. Yeah, I didn't put one in, but any sata disc burner by major company will be fine. 17-25$
