Budget: $1050
For: Gaming for at least 1-2 years.
This is a non k intel build.
Not really looking to overclock as many people saying there is not much difference in gaming. What do you guys think about FX 6300 for gaming??
Here are the parts, please check them out and tell me if there is any change required, also any suggestions would be good.

The i5 you linked is better then an FX6300 in almost everything. Especially gaming will be much better on the i5 and it will give you a longer run without upgrade.

I would recommend this SSD over the vertex 3, it's simply cheaper and faster:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820147188
The mobo is OK, but I would spend a little more so you can get a z77 chip:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130653
The ram is a good choice.
PSU is ok for this build, but a 550W or 600W should be ok too:
XFX 550W psu: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817207013
Corsair CX600: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139028
A hd7870 is faster then a gtx660 (non-ti) on the same price, take this one from gigabyte: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125418
About the mouse, monitor,... Should be ok, not really experienced there.
The case is fine, if you really want to lower the price a bit, you can still take a cheaper case. (the zalman z9 plus is nice for it's price)
The HAF 912 is also nice: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811119233

With the money you spend less on the psu and SSD you can buy a more expensive mobo.

CPU - personally would get i5-3570k + Z77. Although you may not overclocking now. You can have the option to do it in future. Also, when you think about re-sell in future, they would probably be better.

GPU - 7870?

SSD - Why that vertex 3 so expensive??
Vertex 4 @ $ 140. Crucial M4 are only $110

RAM - Team Xtreem LV DDR3 1866 at same price. There are other DDR3 1866 at $45, worth consider.

If he gets a samsung 840 128, it's only $99 and is much faster. Then he could buy a 3570K with the z77 board I linked. :D
Like I said, an hd7870 would be better :P

The Ram is good enough, it can be easy oc'ed to 1866 if he even feels the difference between 1600 and 1866.

I am not sure 840 (non pro) is faster M4. But since 840 is $100, just go for that

Ok guys just want to tell you that I am from India and using newegg just for reference purpose :). So the parts are actually much higher here almost x1.5 the rate in newegg.
The 3570k is available here and is for 290$ :( and best in price mobo is starting at $200, rest ASRock mobo here is Pro3 Z77 which is around 160$ but I have heard bad things about ASRock.

I have seen the benchmarks and 660 performs same/close to the 7870?
Also 660 is cheaper? Almost 100$ cheaper here actually.

Basically the SSD I posted is quite low in cost at my place, is it bad quality?

Also Also how is the CX 600? Many say avoid it at my place?

I am confused with the OCing build or not, is it shoots my budget up by 200$-250$.

If anyone could help me select parts from this site http://www.flipkart.com, it would be quite good, budget is 60k in Indian currency. :)

that makes things different though...
If the hd7870 is that much more, take the gtx660 all the way.
There is nothing wrong with the CX600, I saw pretty nice reviews about it?
Ok, trying to make it for you.
Is the 60K without monitor, mouse and keyboard?

Thanks, It is with monitor, but without mouse, keyboard, OS. :)

Is 60K your upper budget? How much can I go over it?
Second question; Do you have a HDD already Because only an SSD of 120gb will be a bit minor...

I mostly want to 60k, not over it, 2-3k won't be a problem though.
Yea I already have an HDD, I have plently of storage already, just need SSD for games, also I will add 120GB later??

You'll be able to install 1 or 2 games on it, no more.
It doesn't really makes a difference in the game itselve, it only starts a bit faster .
Maybe you can better spend more money on the build now and buy a bigger ssd later?

120GB for only 1-2 games? but games with days are at 14GB average and almost 25 GB with DLCs so I think I can get 3 full games on it? and rest small games I can put on the HDD for time being?
As I said I will add another 120GB later when I am outta space.

That makes 60685.
The i5 2500k is still a nice cpu and overclocks well. It does help in games, like only 4-5 fps though. But it helps more in just other apps.
with stock cooler you could get maybe 3.8ghz on all cores, you can get many cheap coolers that do 4.2ghz easely.
On you to decide. Power or startup quickness of an SSD :P
The ssd can be bought later if you don't mind...

All extra data and other things are saved on it too. And I don't know why but I got only 19gb over and don't have much on it yet :S. (no games)
And I wouldn't use more then 105gb of 120gb on your ssd, it'll make your pc pretty slow :P

Hey actually 2500k doesn't support PCI-E 3.0 so won't the 660 run at x8? I think I shouldn't compromise on OCing so I am thinking of raising the budget to 70k :)

Thanks for the help till now smileman.
How does this look :)
Intel i5 3570k+Thermalright Silver Arrow-19.5k
Asus P8Z77-M PRO-12.5k
Gskill RipjawsZ 4GBX2 1600mhz-3.5k
Segate 1TB 7200.14-4.2k
Gigabyte GTX 660 14.5k
Corsair TX650V2-5.4k
Corsair 400R-5.4k OR Nzxt Source 210 Elite-2.6k
Dell ST2220L-8.5k
Goes to 67.1K :)

ASRock Extreme 6 is available, how is that??

It doesn't make a real difference though...
But the i5 3470 is around the same price, so take that and a ssd from 250gb and you'll have a great machine for around 70k.
An agility 3 has equal performance with the vertex 3 or even better for some reason...
If you're going for 120 gb, maybe you can go for the 3570k.

Is it on the same site? Don't take a micro-ATX mobo, go for the one I linked or an asus p8z77 v-lx if you got the money.

Edit: do they have the sb-e version of the silver arrow? They're much better and priced the same.

I contacted a local dealer for it and it was currently about that. Okay let me check out the perfect Mobo.
