Hello everyone , I purchased an USB extension cord off Newegg.com because I wanted to be able to put my Belkin USB ( wifi usb modem/stick thingy? ) outside my door to get a better signal.

When I plug in the Belkin to the usb extension cord my computer keeps crashing and I get this message

"bugcode_usb_driver" and it restarts my computer.

I can plug the keyboard or mouse to the extension cord just fine with nothing going wrong.

Do you know why this is?

What happens when you plug the adapter directly into a USB port? Does it work fine? If so then we can only assume there is something wrong with the cable you bought.

I should have mentioned that . My Belkin is working fine has been for quite some time when plugged directly into the USB
