The Tri Channel memory is pointless, its for a Intel system. AMD is Dual channel. You need to get a set of 2 or 4 sticks.

He should be ok with the amd build it looks solid just change the memory like stranglehold said.
What case are you using just out of curiosity?

that gtx260 is waaay overpriced. you can find them on newegg for about 175 give or take a little. i would recommend the 4890 because they overclock really well and are the best bang for the buck out there

or two of these http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102770

and there all $100 less then that GTX 260 but if you do want to spend that much then get 2 of these http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150394 or one of these http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130479
