Build, everything ok, any improvements?

Ok, i am planning to build a computer this summer, and i want to make a machine that can do most things decently. I would do gaming, and school work on it. I would like it to last me a while, so if it could be upgradeable would be great. My budget is $1100 for everything, including monitor and os. Ok, so here is what i have.

Maybe get a better PSU and a SATA HDD? Maybe better video card? No HSF? Thermal Paste? Case Fans? Drives?

First get a 19" monitor they're around the same price, second get a sata HDD, third get a better psu like the Ultra XVS 600W , a gigabyte ds3 rev 3.3 might be a better inversion unless you plan to do sli, the rest looks fine.

The HDD is one of the best choices you could get, however the monitor isn't, has a big ms and isn't even widescreen, if you have the extra cash i would recommend you to get this one instead

Yes. Make sure you get that suggested PSU from TigerDirect.

Lite on are better for a ddvd burner, and i already suggest that monitor but it seems he chose the other one i recommended as well, Well the processor has some with it, if you buy the retail version along with a fan
