Build for Friend

Alright, so my mate has asked me to build him a computer for general use, internet and some gaming...

Here's what I've come up with, I don't think it's too bad...

Not bad, eh?

For the power supply, he is going to buy mine for about £25, which I think is a good deal considering it's sleeved and what not... It'll be fine for his system...

Also, he wants to buy my graphics card, but I don't want to sell till the new series nVidea cards come out so the 8800's come down in price, when will this be? Should he get a cheap GPU for the time being?

Something like this, he currently has a 9250, so it's the same spec, I think he could hold out...

I'd dump that case and for a few quid more get a Coolermaster Elite 330; it hasn't got a window but it's better quality.

Paul, what makes that case better besides the build quality?

Thanks ThatGuy, I've edited the original post... :)

What about the PSU and GPU issue, what do you think?

So he uses the onboard on the motherboard untill the new nVidea card comes out then he buys mine?

Nah, he doesn't mind, I just thought that AMD would be pretty good, as it's good bang for buck...

Do you have a link to either of them please?

Is the Core 2 Duo worth £10 more?

Also, I think an LGA775 build would be better, thanks!

When will the new cards be coming out, November some time? I want to get an 8800 when they come down in price, so my friends can buy my 7950GT.

Well the case has a tooless design. And that's about it.

Ah right, well, I'll show him and see what he thinks, thanks!

Anybody?

I would get the board i suggested for the price, and get a cheap video card instead of using that S3 with onboard and go with the nForce 570

So you say stick with the AMD X2? I think it would be better... for the price...

What about the GPU issue though?

Hmm, Alright Thanks! I'll wait and see when it's released to see if it's any good like, it's confusing me how it's cheaper and better than the GTS', it doesn't make any sense...

So my friends build looks Ok?
The Antec 380watt would be enough for it, wouldn't it?
