um....the links don't work. Anyways, you don't even have a PSU listed so my guess is that it came with the case which most of the time, those are crappy PSU's. Go with an Antec PSU. Never fail me.

that PSU might be sufficient, if it was a well-known name, like antec, it would be enough

but generic PSU's can give you problems, the psu can burn out and that would be bad

just be safe and buy a quality one

Yes, I know all about psu's. I am just comptaplating right now on what do get. Perferable under $30. Any suggestion? Probably just need +12v>20a.

that powersupply looks better then the one he picked out (rosewill sucks), and the system is okay for the price

or wait for conroe to drop prices on everything else, then see what you can get then
I guess so, but honestly, even a low end conroe would probably beat out a high end netburst chip.

I posted to this, and now my post is gone. Well, anyway, as I said, I think even a cheap conroe will beat out an old netburst chip.

The lowest price on a conroe is something like $209 so I am not going that way. I said I am waiting for prices to drop for the pd805 to $95 or something like that.

AMDs are NetBurst? i thought that Pentium 4's were
AMD's dont use netburst, it's the architecture Intel used on it's Pentium 4/Pentium D/Celeron/Celeron D, as well as several others.

I believe it's around $180 for the cheapest Conroe, and about $85 for the PD805.

Yep, I know that, netburst was any Willamette/Northwood/Prescott/Cedar Mill/Presler based core, within that, I know the Pentium D 8xx series also had something, and there was several more in the Xeon category. Sorry for the confusion, nothing was updating for me last night, I couldn't view threads or anything, it was a real mess.
