Build Me A Good PC!

Okay so here is my story.

I have basically no idea what good components are (The only things i do know are like GHz in the processor and GB's of RAM). I know how to put the PC together and what each component does. E.g. Ram is the stick things that make your comp faster and Graphics Cards are for the picture quality etc. etc.

And i am putting my trust in this newly found site to build me a brilliant computer! I am a gamer so a PC for gaming would be good. I play Call of Duty 4 and some of the latest games. Just so you have an idea of what the computer needs in it.

Oh and, if this sounds like I'm just asking you to do something hard or time wasting then I'm sorry, I just thought this is what you guys would find fun.

Thank-you in advance.

EDIT: Price can be anything. Just not stupidly expensive. If its high then I can just save up for it.

EDIT2: I am in the UK (United Kingdom) (England) (Great Britain) (£) So any websites that you may use please make sure they are english and can deliver to england. Thank-you again.

Oh thank-you, that looks nice also. Would you be able to give any advice on a good and compatible video card?

video card is not important for 2D work like picture editing and well picture quality of flat pictures in general. Its when your dealing with 3D worlds that the computer has to calculate pixels and destructable objects and all that goofy stuff, that a good video card comes into play. A good video card isnt even need for watching high quality DVD/Blu-ray movies because that stuff is all pre-calculated and cant be interacted with while there playing.

Really what you said was kinda random describing what video cards are for xD :D

Now that build will handle pretty much anything you throw at it.

You may have noticed,I have not added an operating system because if i did i would have to cut down on the systems specs...so what i would do is get hold of windows 7 RC which is free for a year and use that for a bit until you can afford to purchase windows 7 when it comes out.

Nice build but wouldn't a 4870 make more since it is cheaper and just a tad bit better the the GTX 260.

Right so, this will all work together and everything will run fine?

Also, is this true?

I recommend you wait until the Radeon 5000 series comes out. we will see some price drops in the 4000 series depending on the price of the 5000 series cards.

Okay, this is a challenge! The budget is £200, with the same requirements! Knock yourselves out.

Don't include a case or an operating system!
