Build Revision - Advice needed!

Hello everybody.
I am a musician and a gamer and want to build a powerful gaming rig, that also is capable of taking a firewire 400 for recording music. I'm in the US and my price range is $800-$1000.

I had a build suggested to me that I like a lot, but I'm not sure if it is capable of receiving a firewire 400 cable (sorry for poor knowledge of terminology). Here it is:

If you have a totally new build suggestion I would be more than happy to see it! If you have any suggestions with the current build let me know. Any and all advice is appreciated.

Also I guess I'm just wondering if that build can already run a firewire card. I have only used firewire with a macbook pro before, so I don't have much knowledge concerning how they fit in with the machine. Thanks for the help!

Where is your OS?
Mobo - I don't think that Gigabyte has firewire. What do you need firewire for?
Case - you notice that case don't have external 5.25" for optical drive.

I am already set for an OS. Well that's too bad it can't do firewire. I need it for recording music with microphones through an audio interface that uses firewire.

I don't know a whole lot about mobos, so I was hoping somebody could suggest to me a build similar to the one I have, that has a mobo capable of having a firewire card or built in firewire already.

And yes I would like an optical drive, so thanks for pointing that out.
