Ok, so i'm looking to get a new comp, i'm using the AMD Athlon64 PCI-Express
Custom Build Configurator on www.cyberpowerpc.com I trying to build a moderate gaming pc also for other everyday uses. So here is what i've got so far along with a couple questions...

case-TURBO X-DREAMER CASE 350 WATT W/ WINDOW & LCD Temperature Display-Black
Power supplyStandard
CPU-AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800+ 2x512K Cache (Socket AM2)
Cooling Fan-AMD ATHLON64 CERTIFIED CPU FAN & HEATSINK
Mobo-(Socket AM2)MSI K9N4 SLI-F nForce 500 SLI Chipset DDR2/800 SATA-II RAID MBoard w/ Dual 16x PCI-Express
Memory-1Gig(2x512)
Video Card-NVIDIA GeForce 7100 GS TurboCache supporting 256MB PCI-E
Hard Drive160gb
Optical Drive-18X DVD±R/±RW + CD-R/RW DRIVE DUAL LAYER
OS-Vista Home Premium (WORTH IT? WILL IT BE SLOW WITH ONLY 1Gig RAM?)

This is VERY tentative, so PLEASE, some input would be appreciated. Remember, this is not supposed to be a hardcore machine. Right now this is costing $644 with SH. I would be willing to around $100 more give or take
thanks

Seems a pretty good setup, and I don't think there's anything immediate to change, but I'll check it out fully and then post back ltr.

If you want them to build it that looks ok, but if you get the option i would suggest a different motherboard..and if you get vista 1 gig will work but i would strongly suggest 2

What would you suggest?
And yeah, i'm still pondering the whole vista thing, is it really worth it??

On that list i would suggest from "best to worst" these
Asus Crosshair 590sli
Evga 590sli
Gigabyte 570sli
Asus 570sli

I think the crosshair is out of your price range but the others are good if you can afford it, I have the the same board as the evga 590sli but from foxconn

I'm not sure an 350Watt PSU that came included with the CASE will power it. Especially cause any power supply that comes with a case is trash. Dump it and get an better one unless it has nice amperage. A decent 500W should do it.

I'd upgrade the video card - a 7100GS will provide poor gaming performance.

It would be good to upgrade the PSU. The 350W units in those Aspire cases are Turbolink branded, and actually made by Deer. Very poor quality.
