Any changes I should consider?

A couple things before replying, I will be using a lcd 46" tv, so ill have to use the hdmi ports on the 1070, im hoping they are the same, if not, new tv here I come. Second, want to do a one and done pc for a few years. And gaming will be the biggest load, all types of games will be played, so I wanted a jack of all trades.

Personally would get matx instead. I used to have atx tower in living room. But it is deeper than my TV unit...

Don't use an ancient TV as your monitor. Get a proper gaming display and that 1070 will be so much more enjoyable.

This will sit in the spare bedroom. So no worries about room for it.

When this tv dies, ill get another one. I know its far from the best, but it's plenty good enough for me.

I updated to show the 3000 ram

If nobody sees anything wrong besides my jurassic era tv, im gonna order this stuff in the morning so I can assemble it next weekend.

My thoughts are this...

1. Unless you plan on going SLI in the future, there is no need for a 750 watt psu. The 1070 will be fine on a 500 watt unit.
2. If going z170 motherboard then get the K version cpu like the I5 6600k and get a cpu cooler like the CM 212+

No plans for multiple video cards.

Ill dig back in on a power supply, didn't see much price difference so I figured why not.

Will the i5-6600k still be plenty good in a few years time? I don't mind spending another $100 unless it's completely pointless.

Right now, csgo, fs17, dark souls 3, and gta 5

gta v is pretty heavy on the cpu side. You'll definitely see performance increases with an overclocked chip.

Will the i5-6600k outperform the i7-6700 even a few years from now?

Depends on the application and how much of an OC you put on the 6600k. I doubt you'll have problems on the i5-6600k. Unless you want to go all out and grab a 6700k, I'd say stick with a 6600k.

Got everything ordered today, had to change ssd to a SanDisk, gpu to Asus, and ram to corsair Vengeance. The other 3 were out of stock. Hopefully it goes together and works well.

Well, I got everything put together and operational last week. Only problem encountered so far was fs15 when using courseplay, updated to the latest patch on fs15 and latest driver on the gpu, not one problem since. My other games run flawlessly.

Just thought I'd post it was successful, not hard at all to do.
