Building 1st Gaming Computer on Budget!!!

I have learned alot since i last posted, with all the sockets and stuff and know what is compatible. But now im confused on what to buy again because there are so many parts just trying to find the right parts takes me a few hours. I am starting to look into amd's processors just because their less expensive.

Amd: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103871

For some reason i really want to go with the i3 but i think it would be best to go with the amd since its lowered priced and is quad core.
Also now i dont want to game as much on the pc but still want a good video card. With the amd i would want to have a good graphics card but if i went with the i3 then i would prolly just leave out the video card for now since i can just get one when i want to upgrade the gaming experience Also i could get a higher price i3 for better performance since they come with integrated graphics and if im not going to get the video card with it. Plz comment with suggestions.

well even though the i3 has less cores, each core is alot faster by itself, and each core is then threaded as 2 cores making it act as a quad, although it doesn't have the power of the quad (i5 is a quad and i7's are a quad threaded as 8) and is considered closer to 1.3 times the performance of each normal core, the majority of games only use 2 cores, some use 4, and only 1 i know of uses more, the i3 will be a good bit more powerfull than the 955 from amd, but the amd will still perform more than fast enough for any game, and have the benefit of the added cores, either way is fine, just one will multitask better, and the other will be the fastest at the price.

and if you want an amd cpu, than you'd want a phenom black series, they are a good bit better, and also have an l3 cach unlike the athlons, which is the main diff, but it is worth the extra bit for a phenom ii x4 black 955 over the athlon ii x4

Thank you for that knowledge. Also another thing is the motherboards. There are so many out there but I don't need all the features sum have but could u pick out a motherboard for both. I have been looking but not sure what to get. Also will 500 watts power supply be enough?

there is a intel lga1155 in the list from earlier, and for the amd there are a few at the 100 buck point that are good and am3+ meaning compatible with the cpu's coming out later this year, and i foret what gpu we were looking at so can't say whether 500 is nough, but if it asks for a min of like 450 or 500 then no, you want at least 50 extra watts as a safe guard as using the actuall min can cause problems.
