I've decided to build myself a basic computer for video watching, using the internet, and music and using my main computer for everything. This is was I was thinking for the computer:

AMD Athlon II X2 240 Dual Core
Gigabyte GA-M61PME-S2P mATX AM2/AM3 GF6100 NF430
Crucial Rendition 2GB 1X2GB PC2-5300 DDR2-667
Sparkle Power SPI ATX-400PN 400W
Samsung SH-S223B/BEBE 22X DVD+-RW SATA
Western Digital WD10EAVS Caviar Green 1TB
Antec Two Hundred Mid-Tower ATX Gaming Case
Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition SP3 English OEM

I'm buying that all from www.ncix.com and is $489.24 CDN before taxes and shipping. I don't need anything fancy or anything. Any thoughts will be helpful, as i'm no good at picking basic computers, just gaming computers lol.

First you should really get 2x1GB instead of 1x2GB. It is dual channel so it is best to have two stick and run it has dual channel instead of single channel. Second is the power supply it is a very low quality. Look for one of these brands Xclio, Cooler Master, Antec, OCZ, Corsair, PC Power and Cooling, Silverstone, Seasonice, etc. Unless you prefer XP I would strongly suggest you go with windows 7.
