I would definately go with a better power supply. 370 watts just ain't gonna cut it. I would suggest the Ultra X-Connect power supply. It's 500 watts, and it comes with cool cables, and it's fully modular. It comes in cool colors too.

370w is enough if he's gonna gonna add anymore devices in the future.
370 watt would enough if it was actually a good psu , but it sucks majorly read the PSU 101

And you might wanna look in to SATA harddrives / optical drives IDE is starting to get outdated;)

how many fans do you recommend
If your case will allow it you should get 2x 120mm fans, they provide low noise and high cooling:)

Yup, PSU sucks majorly. And the comment about IDE becoming outdated may be true but it still has its uses, like being automaticallly detected by Windows XP, SATA needs third party dirvers installed on the intsall of windows, this may confuse a novice user which jiggaxbam may well be. Normal IDE can go up to 500Gb and thats far more thatn any home user would ever need for day to day stuff.

actually if you read the reviews for the psu it isn't that bad...

Reviews dont mean jack BUT I do agree the PSU not as bad as everyone around here seem to think it is. It makes me wonder if they even looked at the amps on it.

A combine 27A this is not that bad. better then alot of PSU out there. It not the greatest PSU in the world but it in no mean terriable like people been saying around here.

Ohhh, where'd you get that pic , lol , newegg really miss leads you on that one , i thought it only had 1 +12v rail @ 14amps

In that case its a pretty good one , but i'd still fork over the extra 4 bucks and go with the rosewill 550:D

The pic is on newegg one of the 7 or so pics that they have of the PSU. Almost every PSU on newegg has a pic of the sticker with the amps on it. If it does not have a pic of that it usually a bad sign.

Except wattage doesnt matter

Except it is :)

Yup, PSU sucks majorly
More following the crowd....

like being automaticallly detected by Windows XP, SATA needs third party dirvers installed on the intsall of windows
Thats only for systems without native SATA support.....

"Welcome to the club"
