Building a Computer for gaming/suggestions

My budget is below 800 bucks

I'm thinking about a Intel core2E8400 3.0/Intel BOXDG33FBC ATX Motherboard/OCZ StealthXStream 700W Power Supply/EVGA GeForce 9800 GTX+ 512MB vid card/WD 750G hard drive/Crucial Ballistix 2 x 2GB memory.

With the case and dvd drive and shipping its about 800 bucks (i already got monitor/speakers/keyb+mouse)

I thought its pretty good but im no expert. Do u guys have any suggestions for my budget???

Don't get Mobo with G33 chipset, not good for overclocking. Get one with P45 chipset.

Video Card - 9800GTX+ starting at $150 with MIR, while 4850 starting at $130. I think 4850 is a better buy. However it would depends on what game you are playing

Thx daisymtc. I looked at that board too but i found it pretty packed. Do u think I'll have enough room for my vid card?

Any mid-tower case will do.

Go with the Q6600. Games are starting to take advantage of Quad-Core Systems. GTA 4 Needs a Quad Core, and a good 1 GB Videocard just to run very well because of the bad optimising.
