Im trying to build a computer i got a pentium 2 or 3 processor motherboard. does it matter where i put these LEDs in? i put those bad boys in the little thing and i pluged it up and it started making some screeching noise i aint gonna turn it on because somethin might blow up. can somebody help me please

yes, it does matter where you put these in. you probably put the integrated speaker (which beeps if something is wrong with motherboard) in wrong place... consult with your motherboards manual, if you have lost it then try to find it from internet. 
usually there is wide place where to connect all of them... like
