hey
as i have mentioned in another post im building a computer
i wish to:
play music (LOUD)
surf the internet (including msn)
program (microsoft visual c++, dev-c++)
dual boot (windows vista + linux)
play the odd game (CS:S, half life, halo, etc..)
enough room for photo's, music, software
have everything to run fast-ISH (by this i mean i doesnt have to take off when i open a file or surf the net, but not so slow that games lag or take 5 days to view a pic)

i think thats everything..

heres the set up that i have constructed myself and believe that it matches my criteria but i thought i'd ask the pro's ;)

as you can see some of the items are OEM so im not sure what they will be missing or what i will need to get (SATA cables, power cables, etc..) ?

so what does everyone think?
what do i need to upgrade/downgrade to get what i want?
bearing in mind i want to stay in the £400 region that i am currently in
it would be preferable if i can downgrade though (safe some moolar :D)
(forget about the mouse and keyboard at this point)
i think thats everything

if people can give me their opinion it would be most appreciated

Cheers

well i chose that motherboard because it seemed to have a relatively good sound card built in and it seems to have some graphic built in which after doing some research seemed to be good enough for the main game i wish to play: cs:s
it has a VIA Chrome9 P4M900 Shared Video Memory (UMA) graphic controller
and by going on its website:
http://www.via.com.tw/en/products/chipsets/p4-series/p4m900/
it seems to have enough spec for the system requirements of the game and a few others
correct me if im wrong

and dont worry about speakers. i have enough of those ;)

is that right then because im really not sure :/

will that built in graphic be enough for counterstrike and other similar based games?

bearing in mind that cs system requirements are:
Minimum: 1.2 GHz Processor, 256MB RAM, DirectX 7 level graphics card, Windows 2000/XP/ME/98, Mouse, Keyboard, Internet Connection

Recommended: 2.4 GHz Processor, 512MB RAM, DirectX 9 level graphics card, Windows 2000/XP, Mouse, Keyboard, Internet Connection
