Building a gaming computer

Hey there, I've finally decided I'm going to build a gaming computer. I don't really know any good brands and what most of it means. I just know the basics and how to put them together. I'm looking at building one that can run Aion really nice and planning on having dual monitors :). Hoping to get a good motherboard and then I can upgrade the rest over a while if I had to. I was looking at buying everything from www.tigerdirect.ca but if there is any other good canadian sites i'll look at them as well. Right now I have a 1200-1500 limit.

Okay, so power supply being on the bottom is better? Also, someone was telling me today that you can actually have more than one graphics card running at once, is that true? and if so would it be better to have two monitors hooked up to one card or a card for each monitor

By the way, still interested if people have any other suggestions. I won't be ordering everything until next week.

So do you want one monitor or two??

Anyway, 5870 is the best single GPU card. And you could run them in CF if you want.
You can hook 3 monitor with one card, 6 with CF

Two monitors will run fine on one good gpu. The 5870 is the best out at the moment so if you're going with that you'll DEFINATELY be fine.

Top or bottom doesn't matter.

The important thing is that the case has a vent for the power supply to draw cold air from outside the case, and not draw in hot air from inside the case.

Sorry for the crude illustration:

Okay I see how the case works now. That looks really nice. The tower will be hanging on one of those side case holders for desks too so the vent will easily be able to get the air from the bottom. Doesn't look like it would work too well if the tower is laying flat on the ground.
