Hey everyone! So I'm new to this forum and all, hoping to get some good info.
I'm looking to upgrade my current laptop and I need some help.
Currently, I have an ASUS UL-50VT with Centrino 2 (1.3GHz dual core), 4GB RAM, and an NVIDIA Geforce G210M (512MB)
However, all the parts are fixed and I can't just swap components so in stead I am looking into a new laptop altogether.
I was looking at a Dell XPS 17 with i7-2720QM (2.2 with turbo to 3.3)
8GB RAM, NVIDIA GEforce GT 55M (3GB) and some other bonus features in it.
Some of my friends were telling that I should just build my own computer. I like the idea. I have never done it myself but I am relatively well versed in technology so I imagine it can't be too difficult.
My only problem is that I do not know where to start or how to go about building one. I also do not know whether or not certain components won't be compatible with others and so on.
Any tips?
