What do you guys think? See anyplace where the comp is lacking? I am probably going to get a 2nd drive that is crazzzzzy fast STRICTLY Data. But at this moment because I can't afford it.

My goal was to build an awesome gaming machine that won't lag at max settings. I don't want any lag while surfing the internet while running a few programs (Not games). Instantaneous response when browsing through "My Computer."

How do you guys think it will fare?

Should do what you want it to do, quite nicely.

If you can, I would STRONGLY advise that you build your own computer

I would personally downgrade to an X2 4200+ or a 4400+ and upgrade to a 7900GTX.

Looks good but you might want to get a dedicated sound card. Like the x-fi extreme music. Are you building this or are you getting this from alienware? I think you are from the case and psu haha but they are way overpriced and we could or a place like ibuypower.com can build a comp like that for cheaper than what alienware sells them for.

I can't downgrade the processor and upgrade the video card unfortunately. I could upgrade the video card but it's a lot more. I am probably gonna end up installing a 2nd 7900GT.

http://www.alienware.com/Configurat...SysCode=PC-AURORA-7500-R3&SubCode=SKU-DEFAULT That's where you can find all the specs/upgrades.

How much better is the GTX version? If I can play all the games out on max settings right now? How much longer do you think this video card will hold out for? If I installed a 2nd one... wouldn't that offset whatevers lacking from the GTX?

I do need a soundcard but they didn't offer one that fits into a PCI Slot (Is that what dedicated means?). I want an awesome sound card because I love my Altec Lansing 5100s! I want to compliment them with a nice sound card. The one I have now kinda sucks.
