Hi all,
Our new LG 50" plasma TV will be delivered in about two weeks. Now I want to build a computer and use the LG as screen.
What I want is:
- play 1080p HD movies (Blu Ray Discs but also from Hard Drive). This is the main reason why I want to build the pc.
- Browse the internet on the big screen. (youtube,...)
- play computer games (Flight sim, race game, First person shooter) but only occasionally. Besides, some sources state that this particular LG has some "input lag" so... playing games might be a dissapointing experience.
I don't want to spend more than 500 euro / 650 usd on the machine. I already have a mouse, keyboard and some old 5.1 surround system.
This is what I had in mind:
AMD Athlon II X4 635 (2.9 Ghz)
MSI 760GM-E51 (http://www.msi.com/index.php?func=prodmbspec&maincat_no=1&cat2_no=&cat3_no=&prod_no=1926)
Kingston 4 GB RAM
XFX Radeon HD5450 (http://www.hardware.info/nl-NL/prod...viewproduct/XFX_Radeon_HD_5450_1GB_DDR2_HDMI/)
Seagate Barracuda 1TB 7200 rpm
LG Blue-Ray player
Questions:
- Will this system be able to play 1080p HD movies without struggling?
- Will a 350W power supply be enough to feed the components?
- How will it handle recent games?
- Other things I should pay attention to?
Thanks for your advice!
Joris.
