Building A new Gaming Computer!! Need help

Are you wanting an APU?

You have said that you want a gpu which would make the motherboard and cpu pretty redundant as the main aim of an APU to my understanding is a cheap gaming platform with intergrated graphics for light gaming.

Do you need mouse, monitor, keyboard, OS?

Ok, do you need an APU and that motherboard for any particular reason? Or are we able to help you choose a different mobo?

EDIT: I should probably clarify, basically the mobo you posted is fm1 socket which take llano cpu's from amd. For a gaming machine your much better off with phenom 2 or intel i5 cpu's as apposed to llano.

Only thing not on there is a hdd, as they have gone massively up in price, so i would suggest trying to scrounge on to keep you going or investing a bit more into the build.

the subtotal is not including delivery.

Sorry about the format, im british so newegg is new to me and there may be better alternatives but this is what i would suggest.

No worries, pleasure to help. Although dont rush out to order just yet, there are a lot more experienced people than me on this forum and they may be able to offer alternatives to bring it out cheaper and allow you to get a hdd too.

Although, with my limited knowledge this is what id suggest lol.

He has dvd drive and ram.

EDIT: Actually on second thoughts...is it 4gb ddr3? As thats what you should be running ideally for gaming and w7 64bit?

well then it would be in budget, but the llano would be bette if he wanted the hard drive cuz the other option would be a 690t and cheap mobo then might be able to get a 6450 or 6570, which wouldn't be too much faster for like 20 or more more

I think the llano would be counter productive. Its wasted revenue in my eyes for some who wants a gaming rig as the 960t will perform much better and allow him to get the 6770 (providing he sacrifices the hdd). I mean if he can get a hdd off someone till last until he can afford one then he's laughing with the first set up

IMO anyway :p
