Hey guys, so I decided to build my own gaming pc and to tell you the truth, I'm a newbie with computer components so I was hoping that you guys can help me out.

I chose the parts based on performance and price but I have no idea if the parts are compatible with each other or not so can you guys please help me out? And perhaps suggest better components for a decent gaming PC?

I'm trying not to go past 600 dollars although I've already did...

The link shows a Samsung drive only. You can create a wish list and make it public, or post the specs in this thread. The drive is good, btw.

Both links dont work. List on the forum the components your getting mayube that would be easier.. Im just doing my first build aswell so ill try and tell you what not to touch and what to study while your building etc :)

@ Mep, hey thanks for your help but I don't really understand what the difference would be between the 9500 gt I selected and your HD 4850. Although yours have more MB of memory size, the 9500gt is much cheaper and it has faster core and memory clock frequencies. And also, are OEM items reliable?

@Oscaryu, thank you also for helping me out but why a quad core 6600 rather than a 8200 when they are of the same price? And also do I really require a 600 watt power supply?

And check out this ram, I think it's a great deal!

And this harddrive!

You don't look at only the clock speeds. The GPU architecture of the 4850 is superior to the 9500 GT. Click here for a comparison. The 4850 is the better card, and worth the price increase over the 9500 GT.

Yes.

With the Q8200, you get a slightly slower clock speed and less L2 cache. On the upside, you get an improved CPU architecture. The Q8200 runs a lot cooler with less power consumption. Either one would be good, although I'd go with the Q8200.

No, but the OCZ Oscar linked is a good deal after rebate.

After rebate, it's a good deal. If you can afford the immediate cost and fit it within your budget, go for it.

Looks good.

Hey thanks you guys I basically know the components I'm going after but I'm not sure about the motherboard choices. There's just so many and everyone seems to be similar, any tips on how to choose a motherboard?

choose it on what you need/want the specs to be. like i want SLI to be an open option, ddr2 1066, and what not. a lot of it is how much u want to spend and what options you want. 1 big recommendation if ur on a tight budget like me is to go w/ a nice dual core AMD. they just released a very nice 1 for $80, which is what im pick up.

Okay and I also have a question about the graphics cards, For some reason there is a whole bunch of Nvdia 9500gt but they all have different specs why is that? And in front is the name of another company not Nvidia, which one of these companies are the best?

They spec the cards differently to give consumers options at different price points. For nVidia cards, I'd go with XFX or EVGA.
