Building a New pc

Hey everyone! New here.
Im going to be building a new computer soon. Prefer AMD
I was just wondering if you guys had any suggestions?
Im trying to keep it fairly cheap.
I have been browsing around newegg and have some ideas.
Im NOT a HARDCORE gamer but i do enjoy playing mmorpgs ( WoW )
Please note, im not a total noob :D
and sorry if i put this in the wrong section!

Well for the OP, what is your budget, highest your able to go for, and being AMD it would be good.
 
I'd say steer away from AMD and go for the Dual Core Intel range. It has far more compatibility with most common motherboards and you always know that it isnt going to melt to your chipset if it overheats [yes happened to me on one occassion]

I got him some parts together and I'm pretty sure he's going to go with it.

GIGABYTE GA-EP35-DS3L
Intel Core 2 Duo 2.4ghz
2GB of DDR2 800
Western Digital 160gb - Sata
XFX 8600GT
Samsung DVD Burner - Sata
2x120mm fans

Comes out to be around $490
