building a new pc

heej guys,

I am building a new pc and I am almost realy. there is only one problem I dont know what cpu to put in to it.
this is my setup till now:

Hard Drive : Samsung Spinpoint F3 HD103SJ, 1TB
Video Card : Palit GeForce GTX 460 (768M GDDR5)
Mother Board : Asus M4N98TD EVO
Memory : OCZ Gold Low Voltage OCZ3G1333LV4GK (DDR3)
case : Cooler Master HAF 922
CPU koeling : Scythe Mugen 2 Rev. B
Power Supply : Seasonic M12II 520W
Optical Drive : Sony Optiarc AD-7260S Zwart

have changed the memory for a "Corsair Dominator CMG4GX3M2A2000C8" is this a good choise(its a set of 2x 2GB)

for the cpu I dont know what to pick, U have found 2 that looked good. the "AMD Phenom II X6 1090T" and the "AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition"
so the main question is hexa-core or quad-core.
I hope someone can help me

1090 is better, but not way better. 955 is much cheaper and is just a 965 with lower clocks. OC that and you'll be fine. Alternatively, get yourself a 1055T, the 1090's little brother, 3MB L2 cache, 6MB L3, decent OC'er, and doesn't cost the earth. Get either the 955 or the 1055. Do you have a budget?

no I dont really have a budget, the whole comp can cost max €900 so for the cpu I have like €200 left, if I take a cheeper one, like the 955 I can spend the rest on better ram or a GTX 460 1GB(instead of the 768mb). so if I get you right u advise me to buy the quad(955 black edition), correct me if I am wrong, coz the differents isnt worth the money..

Get the Phenom 955. It's a great processor and I doubt you will ever need six cores.

alright, thnx for al the advise wil the rest of my shit worg good togetor?? or are there some parts that need to be replaced?? like changing the "OCZ Gold Low Voltage OCZ3G1333LV4GK (DDR3)" for a "Corsair Dominator CMG4GX3M2A2000C8 (DDR3)".
othere question, is it worth looking for a 1GB 460 instead of the 768mb and if what brand do you advise??

1GB GTX460 worth considering.

CPU - 955 is good for gaming, not really see the need of hexa core if you use it for gaming. Or 1055T is a good buy if you overclock it yourself.

RAM - Recommend you get DDR3 1600

Mobo - Personally would get cheap AMD 870 SB850 (only support one video card)

OCZ has stopped making DDR3 ram and it didn't have a good reputation in the first place. You can find good deals on G.Skill, Corsair, Kingston, etc.
