rethink that son, a ~$300 intel processor beats ALL amd proccesors. not comparitively priced ones, ALL. that means amds top of the line $700 processors too.

i have both intel and amd processors and they are very equivelent to one another and amd just whoops intel altogether
also intel focuses more on graphics designing and video editing
amd focuses more on gaming and many processes running

im guessing that youve never seen the $2000 socket f opterons that amd has

i guess i will restate then, even though those are cruddy server processors.

rethink that son, a ~$400 intel processor beats ALL amd proccesors. not comparitively priced ones, ALL. that means amds top of the line $2000 processors too.

you are comparing amd to the OLD P4S incase you didn't notice

in a minute i'll edit with a newegg listing of what you want if you're that stubborn though...

wow it's been a whole 10 min and you havent commented... normally it takes like 5 and noone else has commented. against forum rules btw.

i call it the "shitforbrains rig"(no case, i'm too lazy)

it's $100 under budget, plenty of space for a case. take that rig for what it's worth: nothing
i just hacked that rig together in about 5 min, it's prolly unbalanced and really shitty. could prolly use a better mobo too.

Not completely true though. The E6600 is $312 where the x2 5000 is $300. Bechmark wise they are close but yes the core 2 duo beats the amd 10%-25%. What I mean though that the E6600 doesn't beat the fx-62 on all tests. The fx beats the E6600 in the majority of tests. Though if the fx was cheaper I would get it but if they were the same price I wouldn't get the fx just because of the core 2 duo overlocking cababilities. Do you get what I am saying? If the 5000+ was say 215-225$ I would get it over the E6600.

Also, when you said intel beats all amd cpu's including the 2,000 opteron processors, you can't really say that. It is hard to compare a server cpu to a consumer cpu. Because I doubt that the core 2 duo perform at par to the opterons on the server level.

*Does this look right? Considering price this is actually kinda cool.

hahahahahahaha that is the funniest thing ive read ina while "recon"

quite possibly the dumbest thing i've seen said on this forum as of today...

(this is coming from a pretty diehard AMD user, and even i know that intel doesn't "suck"... actually am looking into a C2D rig...:P )

nah, hes said dumber things already.

or this!!
amd focuses more on gaming and many processes running
this is dumber too.

ok i no that intel has the double cache but amd has double fsb wat are differences other than that

Actually, AMD's chips haven't had FSB's for quite a while now. :P

ok i am convinced after doing hours of searching intel is the best "RIGHT NOW"
however im going to wait until vista comes out and see if amd will take back their extensive lead by better dual core or maybe even 128bit (woot woot)
ahh any1 other than me have the beta version of vista (drool drool)

i used to think amd ruled to-well now ill sit back and look at my 2duo with a smile on my face, knowing that all my friends are running turds...lol

lol did you really need to do hours of research to find that out? I mean currently there's been like a bajillion threads on this forums debating this, and there are plenty of links to benchmarks in these threads.
