I am building a pc and I am using a 32mb agp card but for some reason I still can't see anything on my monitor. I know the monitor works since I used it not to long ago and when I bought my video card, the guy tested it before i bought it so I have no idea why I can't see anything. Can anyone help me?

Thanks,
Etienne

Make sure it is in all the way and nothign is restricting it from going all the way in I had a similar problem.

Its an agp card so their is a locking mechanism once you insert the card. It does not lock unless it is pushed in completely.

I have no idea why it is not working. Since i've started building this pc and all the hardware are installed, I am not sure why I am not receiving any video. Any other thoughts?

Check the memory modules, at one time I didn't get any signal to the monitor yet the comp was running. Turned out to be a loose memory module.

You should always touch the a large metal piece (inner of chassis) before touching computer parts.

My computer specs...

MSI KT4V (VIA KT400 Chipset)
AMD Sempron 2300+ socket 462
512Mb PC3200 DDR RAM
Western Digital 80GB 7200RPM
AGP 8x 32bit Video card

Care to clear the CMOS memory by popping the battery out for a minute and then putting it back in, thus resetting the BIOS?
