How much time does it take you to build a PC, including the time to open the boxes (and read the instructions if anyone does (I don't, and I bet lot's more don't either :P)).

depends if u include installing the OS and stuff like that

but just putting the parts together... like can be as short as an hour...
but w/ everything else it is like 3

How do you figure out the front panel connector locations if you don't read the manual? Also POST codes are usually in the manual in case your comp screws up.

Have you even built one yet because your rig says "to be built"

Your first build always takes alot longer. It took me 2 days to put my rig together (partly due to the fact I didnt bother looking on the motherboard CD for a manual  ). But now I can take it apart and put it back together in about an hour and a half, maybe 2 if I do some decent cable management.

I've built a few computers and they all took under a hour.

The computer I just built took 4 months because i bought piece by piece by working at Wendy's.. lol

It depends. The very first time it took about 2-3 hours, but every other time, it takes like 45 minutes. And that included installing Thermaltake Big Typhoon. So it all depends...

well my comp that i just built took about 4 hrs. 2 hrs a night becuase i got most the parts on the first day then the rest came on the second.

For me, about 1-2 hours... thats about it. Not really that hard. Installing Windows and all your games and programs is the annoying part. Plus, within the first few hours of running the system is where I usually encounter most of my problems.

it can easily be done in less than 30 minutes if you just include the bare minumum, but for me it takes an average of 1-2 hours to open everything up, install it, re-wire everything, and close it up. Thats not including software.

it took me about 2-3 hours from start to finsih to put everything together, first build, then installing xp took around 6 hours because i never read the instructions for the sata controller thing, and it just kept looping the xp install.

I think if i was to build another pc i tihnk it would take me 1-1.5 hours, as now i actually sortof know what i'm doing, and i would do it in a n empty room, without my brother using all the instructions as a farm

very first pc build took around 2-3 hours, but thats cos i read everything, i hadnt a clue what i was doing lol. This was about 4-5 years ago. Ive now built about 15 sysstems and it doesnt take long at all. Definately under an hour, if im having a good day i can get at least 3-4 done.

The longest part is getting the mobo bolted to the motherboard, after that it's freaking dead simple... plug plug plug ... power up, ghost or automated install. Now if you add tweaktime + cable management time, then the time goes up exponentially. After dealing with the Thermaltake manual once just for kicks, the longest i keep a manual is the time it takes to reach the garbage can.

It all depends on the mobo's size and case. One of them was easy to install. I did it in 25 minutes. Although, my P4 one, the case was so compact, I had to someimes take out some stuff and then it could fit in.

The logest part for me is geting the motherboard installed, and plugging in the USB headers and System headers. After that its easy.

I guess you mean the mobo bolted to the case? But yeah. It can be a pain, especially with the bigger heatinks/fans, that block the screw holes. After that, its all down hill.
