um, i would get a little more ram...and a solid gig instead of 2x512. but ram is kind of my thing, so maybe its not a fair statement.

WHOA now... Why just one stick?! Then he couldn't use duel channel capabilies!

But yes, you really should get at least 1G of RAM if you plan to do anything more than just browse the net. I have 512M in my laptop, and it does just fine, but I really don't do anything more than browse the net and a few edits in photoshop. Nothing too intensive.

well, i only suggested he get a solid gig instead of 2x512. i never mentioned anything about stopping at one gig...
