It is leaps and bounds better than the geoforce 6800.

But the 8800 GTS is leaps and bounds better than the 8600GT.

The 8600GT is a lower end DX10 card, I'm planning on getting it as well and it should be able to play the latest games on medium settings I'd guess.

lol, it isnt even a normal 6800... its a 6800go... as in the laptop version.

yeah, i thought its gotta be a damn good card for £160 or whatever it is =D

Thats overall, but I chose the 320mb and the 640mb to be shown on the chart in blue as single-card setups. Switch around the choices and see what you like, it may help you decide.

so there isnt really TOOO much of a difference...

whats the difference between the (320mb) 8800GTS and the 8800GTS OC (overlock?) cause thats better than the 640 :S

Other than the power supply, unless you get one that has dual voltage settings. Remember, the UK and the USA have different standard voltages.

I will say you could leave the case and PSU buying in UK as they are heavy.
All other components should be working well, but you will lose the warranty if you buy from US
