building a rig. need a parts list.

In In the next few months i am going to be building a new computer. I know alot can change in say 2-3months but i just want to get a rough look at what ill be buying.

I am a gamer, so GPU is very important to me. I was wondering would it be better to run a 9800GTX x2 or a single 260/280GTX performance wise. I also want at least 4gs of ram and a kicking quadcore. I have a hard drive already, Western Digital Caviar RE2 WD1601ABYS 160GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive - OEM, but i am willing to replace it if it doesn't work with the build.

What i am asking for is a list of parts. I need a new keyboard and mouse(good for gaming, but no wireless please). I am set on a monitor(Hanns-G 22" wide screen) My budget is going to be between 1000-1300$ but depending on how things go i could spend up to 1600$ on it, so a few alternative pieces would be great! And obviously cooling is going to be an issue, but you all know that :P

Thank you for the help and advice!!!

PS:i do NOT care if it is intel or AMD, and i will be OCing this comp a bit.

you can go to http://www.newegg.com/ and check out what you can get for your money there but remember that the parts that are just out are really expensive compared to the one below it so do you really need the newest parts or can you save by going back a bit?

I would love to do that, but sadly i am computer ignorant when it comes to MoBos, CPUs, ram, ect. Dont let all that talk up there fool you, i dont know that much about computers.
