Building a tower for under 550$

Well, I want to build a tower alone (without monitor, etc) for under 550$ if possible...Problem is I don't know where to start. I'd like to play some of the more higher-end graphic games (with high settings), but haven't been able to since my brother hordes his newer computer.

Facts I know:

Plays higher end games(that could play new games well for a couple of years on) on high graphics, okay if not max...

Rather go to a computer store to get the parts, have someone build it for us. (So I won't mess up. XD) (Any suggustions on the store?)

I'd like to use AMD ATI Radeon HD 4870 graphics card.

And...That I can't buy anything online.

Okay, I know it'll be tough-But could it be possible? Oh yeah, and I don't want to go to Best Buy. Older things=Overpriced. Unless there's a certain component that is actually priced fairly there...

Lol...Sorry, I'm not stupid, but I just don't have any knowledge about computers. x_x

Here is a $540 hardware list from newegg, but I expect your local store might be more expensive...

1. Which country do you live in?

2. For $550, you won't play any games in HIGH SETTINGS. Operating System alone is $100, so now you only have $450 left.

3. Building is easy. It's like LEGO. To have someone build it for you and install the operating system, will cost $50 to $75. You can do it yourself - just remember not to step on any of the parts (as one poster painfully learned), and don't drop any of them. If you follow those two suggestions, it's hard to go wrong.
