building a website, advice please

Hi all, i am rebuilding my website and am looking for a free web building site. I already have a server sorted and the domain regestered. My site will be quite simple with a homepage and then 4 or 5 other pages branching off that. I am still quite new to this so a basic building site would be great, so all suggestions will be welcomed
 
Do you want software to manage it, or to design?
Nvu is free open source design software, but if you are after a content management system then I think joomla & drupal are supposed to be good, with a wide range of templates to choose from, or you can make your own
