Okay, so I've had the idea of building my own PC since i was 14. I'm now 20, so I think its time. I tried when I was 16, but had no clue as to what would work with what. So instead I just bought a bunch of expensive good parts for about $1000 in total, and none of it worked together. So to make sure my computer building skills will work this time, I'm asking for your help. I'm going to post all of the parts I want to put in it. If they don't work with my build, or i need something else, Please tell me. Thank you for the help!

Hiya!
What will it be used for? If any gaming- what games?
How much do you want to spend, and do rebates count?

edit: the parts you have listed come to 650 w/o an os, and might be cpu/ram heavy. Do you have an os?

Hey, thanks for the quick response!
Yes it will be used for Gaming. Nothing High-End type, but I want to atleast have a nice seemless experience when playing games such as FinalFantasy XIV, or WoW, or Aion. That type of gaming.
And yes I do have an O/S, I prefer Windows XP Pro, Or I might try Windows 7.
Within a $1000-1200 range if it can be done.

Well, your system has a fast CPU, 8GB of RAM, 700W PSU, and, um, a shit of a GPU...

So, what I suggest, stick with 4GB of RAM, get better GPU, and kick back a few notches on the CPU. That'll set you up a nice system to play your games on, without breaking the bank. You could probably get a system perfectly capable of running all games out there at decent graphics with a budget of $750, no need to spend $1000+ on a system for MMOs.

Forgive my dorkiness, but I cant seem to remember what GPU means.
Please explain.

Edit: I also went ahead and found a cheaper 4GB RAM cards. 8GB seems to be overkill.

I still need a Chassis that will fit it all. If someone could post some Chassis's that would work, that would be HIGHLY appreciated.

that WD green drive is poor performance. You would do better with a 7200RPM 1TB WD black. Better for a boot drive than that Green 5200RPM one.

Thanks for the advice! Im really appreciating all of this. But My biggest concern is the Chassis (Body to hold it all). I have absolutely NO IDEA what i would need to hold this all. Please advise me a bit more.

looks like it will all work together. It should be a good build for you.

Also, yuo will need a copy of vista or 7 for an OS, unless your going Linux with it.
