I am looking to build my first computer. I have spent a few days reading as many posts as possible. Looking for a machine that will be used for home entertainment, possibly some gaming, and internet. I want to have a Blue-ray drive as well. Looking for a good deal of help on which devices work well together. Like the idea of a windowed case with LEDs and looking to spend around $1000. Will be using a LCD HD TV for a screen (so i guess i will need HDMI ports?) Suggestions??? Thanks in advance!!!

now to get the HDMI port you must use a DVI 2 HDMI converter
you might just want to OC the CPU a bit if you know how. if you dont know how you could just ask us.

ok the build you have there is just ok, but i would change the 2 hard drives for 1 seagate or wd your choice 500gb they are both around $80 but the seagate is 32mb cache.

second of all I would get the e8400 instead of the 8200 for like $20 more. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115037

also i would go for this gpu: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130339

So basically the money you are saving on the HD is what pays for the rest of the gfx card
