Building first computer

Hello all! I've always wanted to build my own computer and now that I have enough money I'm ready to get started. I've chose various parts that seem to work in conjunction with one another and would provide a decent computer that could later be upgraded when more money is available. I would be using programs such as photoshop and possibly play games such as crysis.

Athlon II x3 450 =80$
Kingston DDR3-1333 2GBx2 = 44$
GIGABYTE GA-MA78LMT-S2 AM3 AMD 760G Micro ATX AMD Motherboard = 60$-50$ with rebate
Western Digital Caviar Blue 250gb WD2500AAJS =40$
LITE-ON Black 24X DVD+R 8X =25$
PAntec EarthWatts Green EA-430D Green(CORSAIR Builder Series CX430 430w) =45$
GAMMA Classic Series ATX Mid Tower Interior Steel Chassis (Black)= 40$
sHanns·G HW-191APB Black 19" 5ms = 100$

All will be purchased from newegg

Im not sure about the motherboard because I will later update the graphics card...Im not interested in a large hard drive just a speedy one. However what im not sure of is the wireless card. My router supports wireless n and g. Im not sure if it can broadcast on both at the same time however. It will need to broadcast on g as well because the 2 other computers in my home use g.

Can anybody make any suggestions? My budget is undder 500$ shipped. Thanks!

Your suggestions do turn seem to be better than what I picked.... However I am looking to run this with windows 7 x64.Im not 100% sure it will work..

I cant see your carts its private.. and i have another question. Would I need a cpu cooler? I've read the black edition doesn't come with one.

But I need a monitor, keyboard, case, and a wireless card. Ive also heard the AMD Phenom II X2 555 Black Edition is very easy to unlocked 4 cores. SO it would be faster than the one you suggested.

if your lookin for keyboard mouse keyboard and everything to make a computer to run, you need to think 700-750 to be reasonable but it can be done for 500 bucks, but it wont be...nice

-honestly i wouldnt be swayed by 'unlocking' its hit and miss, get something that will work vs something that *might* and i dont think the clocker ram is worth it, get 8 gig so if you need it, you can max the board out later, i see no point in buying 4 gig of faster ram when you can get just as quick 8 gig ram

I'm looking for just a decent computer. I could later upgrade the graphics card and the ram.
The machine im on right now has 1.6ghz and 1gb of ram and almost no gpu. Oh and you sent me your private wishlist again.

Also I'm having trouble finding a wireless g card that will be compatible. Im not really sure what to look for as far as the connectors go.

more reason to get stuff that wont frustrate you putting it together. i had far more issues with my first build, which is why im suggesting good parts that will work together, would you like me to get you a cheap keyboard, mouse, monitor solution as well as the OS? This will put you over your budget but it will also be a good idea of what to look for.

I actually already have windows 7 x64 and a mouse. Could you suggest a build that is close to my budget but could easily be updated? The Gpu that comes with the mobo should work for a while. Im not sure about motherboards because the micro one I have selected may not be able to handle(psychically)a larger gpu like a radeon 5850. That looks like an amazing graphics card! Couldn't I just stick with what I have and add it on later?

updated the build, you can disregard the OEM installer, but the keyboard includes a mouse...so really not a big point, so all in all about 650 for the whole schibang. psu could possibly be better, but it would be a ok start as far as im concerned. and when you can afford can drop in a radeon 6k series or a geforce gtx 5xx series
