I'd like to say Hi to everyone, this being my first post here. I"d also like to say thanks for all the useful information I've been reading on here while trolling for the past 2 weeks.
I figured I'd give building a system myself a shot. I've never done it before but there's always a first time. My old system is a Gateway with an athlon 1100 meg in it. It's 4 years old and after trying to capture video from my mini DV cam I found out it's showing it's age.
I will be editing video with this new computer as well as editing digital pics with photoshop. I plan on trying out some game playing as well as I haven't been since I stopped playing Ultima Online and a couple star wars games.
I've already put it all together and wanted to see what you guys think. It comes to about $2200. US. I'd rather not get too much more then that. Thanks for any help any of you can give .

I did want to try an overclock after everything was running good. This is another thing I'll be trying for the first time.

I'll also be buying a Floppy and some Arctic silver. I already have a Dual layer dvd burner, a Maxtor 250 gig external firewire harddrive and some older boston accoustics 5.1 speakers. Again, any useful info would be appreciated, thank you very much.
