Building from Scratch-Will these parts work together?

A freind and I are building this computer, and I would like additional opinions to whether all of these things will work together. Rather high budget computer with primary intentions being: LAN Parties, Half Life 2, World of Warcraft, and word processing. What I have here is all I would be ordering and getting so if I am missing anything important and vital please tell me.

Do I need anything additional for LAN hookups? The place I play at has a LAN box or router or something so I just need to be able to hook it up. (P.S. Age of Empires II still rocks)

Much obliged for any concerns or suggestions, thanks. Here it is:

your video card will not work, you need a pci express card, for a cheap solid card check the 6600/6600gt

Okay, changed it to a PCI Express card, and saw that card but also saw this card:

SAPPHIRE ATI RADEON X600 PRO Video Card, 256MB DDR, 128-Bit, DVI/TV-Out, PCI Express, Model "589L" -RETAIL Lite Box

Model# 589L
Item # N82E16814102419

Specifications:
Chipset/Core Speed: ATI Radeon X600 PRO/400MHz
Memory/Effective Speed: 256MB DDR/600MHz
BUS: PCI Express x16
Ports: VGA Out(15 Pin D-Sub) + TV-Out(S-Video) + DVI
Support 3D API: DirectX 9.0, OpenGL 1.5
Max Resolution@32bit Color: 2048X1536
Cable/Accessories: S-Video adaptor, Driver CD
Retail Lite Box (See pics for details)

Which seems better than that card you suggested, but I may be wrong since I don't really know the difference. The one I picked just has a 256 MB Memory so I figured the higher the number the better it is. If I'm wrong tell me, or maybe I'm looking at the wrong card you suggested:

Albatron nVIDIA GeForce 6600 Video Card, 128MB DDR, 128-Bit, DVI/TV-Out, PCI-Express, Model "PC6600/128" -RETAIL

Max Resolution@32bit Color: 2048x1536@85Hz
RAMDAC: 400MHz
Cable/Accessories: HDTV Cable, DVI to VGA adaptor, Manual, Driver CD, Games and Softwares
Retail Box (See pics for details)

Model#: PC6600/128

Thanks, any other problems?

unless the X600 is considerably cheaper, the 6600 is the better pick. The X600 doesn't have the power the 6600 has, google 6600 vs x600 or just check tomshardware.com or anandtech.com and you'll see the 6600 is the much better performer even if it only has 1/2 the vram.

that lcd is horrible for fps 50 ms response time... just get a crt

also you can cut down in price if you just get 1 gig of ram and get a better video card because 1 gig is about all you really need right now and can upgrade later

Do CRT monitors deliver better pictures, but because they are heavier they are generally cheaper?
