Building Gaming PC

Hello!
I want to build a gaming PC
I wanted to see the best I could do with 500-700$.
I was thinking about getting an i7 Quad Core and Radeon HD 6850 but not sure if the phenom is better.
Plus I need help on PSU and Other Parts.
 
you can't get an i7 with that budget, and they aren't worth it in gaming anyways, i only know of 1 game that benefits from the extra threads, an i5 2500k is the best gamer, i'll look for the other stuff too.
 
went a little over, but after the mir's you get 40 for a cheaper case, but there are still some nice ones and for an extra couple bucks you could get a nice case, also could get an i3 2100 or go for an amd phenom x4 955 which would work fine and leave bulldozer as an option

Do you think the hard drive is worth it?I have 120 GB I am going to use temporally.
I can use my friends Windows 7,That takes off about 150$ Right?
i5 Does perfect from what I researched,Thanks for reassuring me.
What about the Motherboard?Which one should i get?
 
the same one will be fine since it has the combo with the psu so you can get a great quality one with plenty of power, and that mobo will work fine for you and do anything others will, the more expensive ones just have more pci-e slots, but you only need them if you go 2+ gpu's but that powersupply won't handle it and ones that will cost around 140 for the good ones with single rail and all.
