Building gaming PC

I am going to build my own desktop. I have never build a pc before, but i think i can do it. But i am not 100% sure that the componens i wan't to use are going to fit together or if there is something i need. Can any body help me??
I wan't to use:
MegaByte P9X79 LGA2011 motherboard
Cooler Master HAF X - Bigtower
Intel Core i7 3820 / 3.6 GHz - LGA2011 Socket
OCZ Agility 3 Series - Solid state drive - 120 GB
4x Corsair DDR3 PC1600
Corsair CoolingÙ Hydro H80
OCZ PSU 700W ModXStream Pro.
Some kind af a normal HDD
And a Nvidia Geforce GTX 680 w/ 4 GB catch
 
decent build, but you have some errors.

motherboard; That is an Asus model number, but you attempted to put the Gigabyte brand to it. Try for a UD5H/UP5 instead. Not that Asus is a bad choice.

Case: You will likely regret that choice in the near future. Try a 650D (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811139006) or switch 810 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811146089) instead. Much higher quality and better value.

CPU: Unless you are planning to use 64GB of RAM, or upgrading to a 6 core CPU in the future, you will get much better performance from a 3770k and Z77 board than you will with a 3820 and z79.

SSD: That is an aging design with low performance. Look at the Vertex 4 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=20-227-791&IsVirtualParent=1) instead. I would recommend a 840pro over both though.

RAM: For the price, you will get better performance from 1866MHz.

PSU: That is okay, but if you want to stick with OCZ, you should try for the ZT750 though. Much higher quality build, and full modular.

GPU: Unless you need Physx, good drivers, or Cuda cores, then you will get better performance for the dollar from an AMD 7970.
 
What your total budget?

Do you need an OS?

Also,Id recommend you get an SSD over a standard Hard drive...Something like a 60-120gb SSD for Windows & most used apps/couple of games,then a standard 7200rpm for everything else.

Yes i wan't to use SSD for os and some apps and the HHD for everything else. I already have the ocz agillity 3 in my laptop and it's fast anoth for me :-)¨

Motherboard: Would it be crazy to choose the EVGA X79 FTW??

Case: The 810 looks great Thanks :-D

SSD: The agillity is way fast anouth for me :-D but if have extra money i will buy the Vertex 4

RAM: I can get thease 4 piece of RAM very cheap here en Denmak (I'm from Denmark)

PSU: Okay i wil use the ZT750

GPU: Yes I gona need Nvidia Physx for running games like borderlands 2...

I some of you guys know a site where i can get thease component cheap it would be great :-D
 
Total: 8950kr ($1550)

This will by my estimates give you an equal or slightly better PC - cheaper.

Why I would argue that my build is better:
The Samsung 840 is brand new and very good. Costs the same as the Agility 3, which is old now.
Don't go socket 2011 for gaming, it's expensive and 1155 is very good.
You didn't specify the amount of RAM on each dimm, but 8GB is enough for now, and this leaves room for an upgrade to 16GB in the future.
With the new drivers from AMD I would recommend the 7970. The PhysX you see in Borderlands 2 are not based on game mechanics, it's only for show. And in Denmark the 7970 is 5-600kr (~$100) cheaper than the GTX 680, but performing similarly.
As for the case. I know a guy with the HAF X. I don't like it, I think it's stupid. Go Corsair ;)

I always use Komplett.dk or Computersalg.dk here in Denmark. Komplett has absolutely the best customer service you will ever see, and Computersalg is often cheap and/or have specific items that many don't sell anymore.

I like the nvidia grafich cards and would it not be bether with an i7 cpu??
Just to be sure you understands me. I wan't a extreme i can use for several years...
Would it posible with this stuff?? And if wan't to upgrade is there any future for that??
I know i can run Borderlands 2 with amd but phyxs effect looks realy great.
ps. Does Newegg send things to Denmark??

No, Newegg doesn't ship to Denmark.
You don't need an i7, because the i5 is exactly the same - just without Hyper-Threading. HT doesn't benefit games, so the extra money is just wasted.
Yes, this PC will definitely run Battlefield 4 even at high settings.
If you are from Denmark, like myself, there are really no better sites than the ones I mentioned.

Is there something i have forgotten or something there will not work together. Because thease coponent wil cost me 8727 kr. ( about 1506 $ ) Witch i see as a very good price :)
 
Veeeeeeeeery bad motherboard.
Always only buy ASUS, Gigabyte or MSI when it comes to motherboards.
And the Z77/Socket-1155 is much cheaper and better clock for clock. (i5-3570k at 4.6GHz is better than i7-3820 at 4.6GHz)
The 3570k can be overclocked to 4.6GHz very easily, but can be 100% automatically overclocked to 4.2 or 4.4GHz with the board I suggested.
 
I recommend you save some money and get an i5 3570K and a Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD5H. Get an aftermarket cooler too so you can overclock the i5. That would be a great setup. No need to spend money on Socket 2011 for gaming.

The rest looks good to me but with the money you saved by getting an i5 and a Z77 board, try to get a 256GB 840 Pro.
 
Okay lets just say i'm a stupid old man who just wan't some of he's own ideas in this computer, and i put in asus p9x79 with the i7.3820 ?
I know i would be cheaper and maybe bether with Spirits motherboard. But this is also a good motherboad rigth??

Yeah the trouble is it's a waste of money. Gaming-wise, you'll notice very little difference at all between the i7 3820 and the i5 3570K, and the 3570K overclocks easily too. I'd only bother getting Socket 2011 if you need more 32GB of RAM, or you need 12 threads (but the 3820 has 8 threads). Otherwise, just get Socket 1155.

If you really want an i7, get a 3770K and the board I recommended. The 3770K is actually faster than the 3820 at stock, and you can overclock the 3770K easily. But I usually recommend the 3570K over the 3770K for gaming anyway, because it's cheaper and offers the same performance in gaming.

You can't put an i5 3570K or an i7 3770K into that P9X79 board, it just won't work. The CPUs run on Socket 1155, the board has Socket 2011. Not compatible. The sockets on the CPU and board needs to match (in most cases, but definitely in this case).
 
I took a shower and it helped me thinking.
As i can see will you recomend the Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD5H and if i wan't i7 the 3770K. Rigth??
Becuase it will get me under 10000 kr (1725$). and that would be great! :-D

Yeah the 3770K will work with the GA-Z77X-UD5H. :)

If you want to save more money though, go i5 3570K.
 
For gaming, you won't notice a difference between the 3570K and the 3770K.

Make sure you get the 3570K though, not the 3570.
