Hey guys, posted here a couple of times now and pleased with advice so far so I am wondering if you can help me with this one.
I've had a computer for a year thats been pretty good, but long story short, I've come to the conclusion that over the next couple of months,I'm scrapping that one and I'm just going to build my own so it is exctly how I want it.
Only trouble is, where do I start?
I'm more familiar with processors/RAM/Graphics Card/HDD etc, but am pretty much useless when it comes to choosing a motherboard/PSU's/cooling systems.
Bascially, I want a Phenom ii x6, at least 4 gig of RAM and a good graphic card for video editing, encoding, HD movie watching, Photo editing and a bit of HD game playing. I have no intention of getting into habits like overclocking etc as I really don't know anything about it and don't want to allow myself to know as I hear it has chances of decreasing the computers life.
Can anyone suggest a motherboard/Case/PSU (and other minor things I may have missed) for these specs? FAST Phenom processor, 4GB or more of RAM and a good graphics card? Budget is £400-£500 and more if it has to (I'll just have to save my wages!) I want a good PSU and don't want to be limited by wattage as I have been in the past.
What kind of cooling measures would I need? Would I need to stress about this too much seeing as I am not overclocking or pushing anything to it's limit?
I already have a Blu-ray drive as well so I will be using that in the new computer.
Also if possible (not highest priority) but I would like to keep it as quiet it can be.
Don't ask for much do I?
Responses will be very much appreciated, thanks.
