Building my first computer

I'm getting ready to buy the parts for my first computer, but i'm not sure everything is compatible. And if it will come with all of the cables i will need. I haven't heard about the monitor brand, If you have what do you think. I'm not planning on doing much gaming with it. And is it ok to get XP oem?

from wat i would suggest is dat, best not to get socket 754 since its kinda phasin out now.. if u can try gettin da socket 939, but if u dun mind and u want to save money stick wit da socket 754
 
I'm trying to build it under $700, because i have to buy a car in a few months so I have to save for that to.

Just so you know, this is not a gaming card so dont expect to be able to get good gaming performance from it
