Building My First Computer!

Like the title says im building my first computer, normally i just go to a computer store and ask them how much it will cost me to upgrade my computer, they give me a price and i normally pay and go happily away but im always conviced im being bumped in a sort of way :P

So first of all i need to know that the products im looking at are all compatible with each other instead of me buying them and finding out they arent gunna work with each other.

If the hardware isnt compatible with other parts, i would highly appreciate it, if you would recommend something better or similar.
Also if im missing something highly important that a computer needs i would also like you to tell me and hopefully guide me into a nice product.

Looks compatible to me. A little light on graphics power though. What's you primary use going to be? And I don't see a case or optical drive
 
mostly playing computer games, general use and the optical drive i have atm is Pioneer DVD-RW DVR-116D ATA Device, which im thinking of just putting into my new build since i dont use it much no point in buying a new one - i think :P

That MB doesn't have an IDE header. You'll need an ODD with a SATA interface.

Depending on the games you're playing - If they're graphically demanding, you might consider a GTX 470 or HD6870, or you could get a little more powerful power supply to give you the option to add another 460 in SLI later.

Im not very techy, thats another reason why i want to build my computer, so could you explain that in a simpler way :P

if i use the GTX 470 would that mean i would need a more powerful PSU? or is more power from the PSU better?
 
If you look at the specification "interface" on these two burners,

I think your Pioneer has the older EIDE interface, (connects with the wide ribbon cable), which that MB does not support. You'll need to buy one with the SATA interface.

My rule of thumb for a balanced gaming rig is that you should spend roughly the same amount on the graphics cards as the cost of the processor. (If you are or plan on playing graphically demanding games). If 95% of your gaming is WOW then a single 460 would be fine. If you want to play Crysis 2 when it's released you'll probably want a little more graphics power to pair with that i7-950.

As you have planned to purchase a computer,there are some suggestion about computer ,the dual 2 core process is the latest one,this is really nice computer,this computer has intel process ,200GB HDD,2GB RAM,speaker of i ball,i ball keyboard ,4 drives.This will cost about $275.
