i7 980x is not worth it, get an i7- 2600k and another GTX 580 for a lower cost.
BTW what type of gaming are you going to do.

Wow, I just fixed it and its cheaper then what it was by .. alot.. :O
And I play a bit of everything, my previous computer couldn't handle a lot of games, so i was pretty much limited to last last gen games.
I got a nice raise at work and finished paying off my truck so i figured it was about time to upgrade!

I plan on doing FPS a few MMOs RPGs RTS's etc, So go for an I7 2600k and another GTX 580?

Yes the 2600k is a fantastic processor with amazing overclocking capabilities. Just remember its a 1155 chipset and works with dual channel memory, so make sure you buy the right mobo, and buy your memory in multiples of 2, sticks of 2gb, 2 sticks of 4gb, 4 sticks of 2gb, 4 sticks of 4gb as such. Also remember that fewer big sticks are better than more small sticks. So 2x4gb is better than 4x2gb. Also find a memory that runs at 1600mhz, chances are your mobo would read it as such and you will need to change the speed in the Bios but we can cover that later. If you would like you can pick up another GTX 580 for a SLI set-up but that card has alot of power to begin with, so a 2nd card is optional. Although looking at your power supply you were planning on a SLI setup anyway correct? Also you might want to spend a few extra dollars and grab a better power supply. Maybe look into the Corsair AX850, or the XFX 850w Black Edition.

Aye i was lookin at an SLI Setup :D
So here is what iv Changed!

I7 980x Extreme Edition for Intel Core™ i7-2600K Processor, 3.40GHz w/ 8MB Cache

Corsair Dominator DHX+ 6GB DDR3 1600MHz CL8 Triple Channel Kit (3 x 2GB) with
Corsair Vengeance 8GB DDR3 1600MHz CL8 Dual Channel Kit (2 x 4GB)

And the mobo to a Sabertooth P67 w/ DualDDR3 1600, 7.1 Audio, Gigabit Lan, 1394, CrossFireX /SLI

I am not sure whether the Corsair Dominator is compatible or not, but Vengeance looks good it me.

So this is what it looks like now!

HAF-X Case
i7 2600k
P67 Sabertooth
2x eVGA GTX 580 SC
Asus Xonar D2X 7.1 PCI-E Sound Card w/ Dolby® / DTS®
2x Western Digital Black Caviar 7200rpm 2TB Storage
OCZ Vertex 2 SATA II 2.5in Solid State Drive, 120G
Corsair Vengeance 8GB DDR3 1600MHz CL8 Dual Channel Kit (2 x 4GB)

Now this is my first gaming rig (That is being built anyway)
and im not -super- confident in building it all myself yet, the store im ordering from
is a local store and it offers a Assemble and Load my OS service for 70$
What are your guys thoughts on that? Ill paste what they have to say for themselves here :
