Building My First PC

Hi, first time building a PC, got my head around most of it but still struggling with choosing components. I have a budget of around £600 and already have speakers, a monitor, keyboard and mouse. I want to use the system for gaming. My monitor runs on 1680x1050, would it be possible to get newer games running at this resolution for this budget?

Does all this work together? Are there any cheaper or better performing alternatives?
This comes to about £500, however, I very little idea about the power supply so far, which one would you recommend?
Is there anything else I will need?

Yes, plus intel socket 775 is end of life.

AMD provide similar price/ performance as intel c2d/ c2Q, but the fact is intel LGA775 will dead soon

Yes, it is on par with the GTX275, and comes close to the GTX285 in some tests.
