Heyo guys, I need some advice on building my own gaming PC.
Budget: $1200-$1750
Purpose: I want to be able to use this puppy to play Minecraft on full resoultion and max render distance as well as be able to record with Fraps and have a window like Skype open at the same time. In addition, it would be awesome to be able to play some graphically-intense games on it via Steam, such as Skyrim.
Misc: I don't know if this is possible, but I would really like to be able to fit this all in a small case, something like this:
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-160-BX
It isn't really all that important, it's just for aesthetic purposes. Also, I would really like to have at least 16 gb of ram and a 1.5-2 TB hard-drive. I don't know anything about cooling systems so I'll let you all decide. If you could maybe list some monitors (regardless of budget) that would work with this that'd be sweet.
Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Holy moly man! This looks pretty sick! I would like to get a few other opinions as well but this looks very promising. Thank you so much!
(P.S. does having i5 vs. i7 make a difference?)

This build would be pretty damn good

Would be a bit overkill, since my 600 dollar build can max out minecraft too
you can swap the case for anything you like, however, its hard to build a tricked out system with a full size graphics card and cpu cooler

Hey no problem! im going to be honest though, if all you are wanting to do is play minecraft and like skyrim, i can set you with with a build around $800-$1000
The build i made you just now is more of an enthusiasts build.

Any monitor will work, but i7s.have more speed, bigger cache size, more cores, bigger turbo boost, and other stuff. However, that i5 is very nice too

True. But that is the case op want.
And that is one reason i have not suggest liquid cool. Although it is possible, it is tricky to install in small space.

Okay... this is sick. Will I need a sound card and also a wired/wireless network thingee?

What speaker have u got? Unless u got decent speakers, u don't need sound card.

Since it is gaming machine, i would recommend powerline adapter over wifi.
The micro atx version will need wiffi adapter if u want wireless.
But as i said before, micro atx mobo would have more flexibility for upgrade
